FAQs
How is your coaching different from a standard program or app?
Programs and apps work best when life is predictable. Coaching works when it isn’t.
Your training and nutrition are adjusted based on feedback, recovery, stress, and real-world demands — not just numbers on a screen. The focus isn’t on following a perfect plan, but on making the right decisions consistently, even when conditions change.
Will I receive a personalised training and nutrition plan?
Yes — but more importantly, you receive ongoing guidance.
Plans are a starting point, not the solution. As your body, schedule, stress levels, and capacity change, your approach is refined so progress continues without burnout or extremes.
What if my motivation drops or life gets busy?
That’s expected — and accounted for.
This coaching is designed around consistency, not constant motivation. When life becomes demanding, the strategy adapts so you stay moving forward instead of stopping altogether.
Progress is built through repeatable actions, not perfect weeks.
Do I need prior training experience?
No.
I work with everyone from complete beginners to elite athletes. The coaching meets you where you are and evolves as your confidence, strength, and understanding grow.
Clear structure and guidance remove the guesswork — regardless of your starting point.
Is this suitable if I’ve struggled with consistency in the past?
Yes. In fact, that’s often where coaching is most effective.
Most people don’t struggle because they lack knowledge. They struggle because they don’t know how to adjust when things go off track. This process focuses on long-term patterns, not short-term slip-ups.
Will this require extreme dieting or rigid rules?
No.
Sustainable results come from intelligent structure, not restriction. Nutrition is tailored to support performance, recovery, and lifestyle — without unnecessary rigidity or obsession.
The goal is progress you can maintain, not results you have to constantly restart.
Do you focus on balance, or strict competition-level approaches?
For the vast majority of clients, the focus is balance, sustainability, and long-term health.
Progress should enhance your life — not take it over. Training and nutrition are structured to deliver meaningful results while still allowing space for work, family, recovery, and normal day-to-day living.
Physique competition preparation is different by nature.
Stepping on stage requires a defined timeline, higher precision, and periods of increased intensity that are not designed to be maintained year-round. In those cases, the approach becomes more structured and performance-driven — always carefully managed, with health and recovery prioritised before, during, and after competition.
Both paths are coached with the same principles:
- Intelligent decision-making
- Close monitoring and adjustment
- Protection of long-term health
- A clear plan for life after the goal is achieved
The level of care remains the same — only the demands of the outcome change.
How do you track progress?
Progress is assessed through a combination of data, feedback, and context.
Numbers matter — but they’re interpreted alongside recovery, stress, mindset, and performance. This allows for informed decisions rather than reactive changes.
How do check-ins and progress reviews work?
Coaching includes structured weekly check-ins to ensure progress stays accurate, safe, and aligned with your goals.
Each week includes:
- A weight and measurement check-in to monitor physical progress
- A detailed online questionnaire reviewing training, nutrition, recovery, stress, energy, and overall wellbeing
- Careful review of your data and feedback before any adjustments are made
This process allows coaching decisions to be based on real-time information and lived experience, not assumptions or fixed plans.
Rather than reacting to single numbers, progress is assessed in context — ensuring changes are intelligent, measured, and sustainable.
How do I communicate with you during coaching?
Day-to-day communication takes place directly inside the coaching app, where you can:
- Message for guidance or clarification
- Leave comments on workouts or nutrition updates
- Share feedback that informs weekly adjustments
This keeps communication organised, visible, and aligned with your coaching plan.
For urgent or time-sensitive matters, WhatsApp contact is also available when appropriate.
The intention is to provide reliable access to support while maintaining clear, professional structure — so you feel guided, not overwhelmed.
Is online coaching as effective as in-person?
Yes — when it’s done properly.
Online coaching allows for consistent communication, regular adjustments, and long-term oversight. Clients are supported whether they’re based in Cape Town or anywhere else in the world.
The standard of coaching remains the same.
How long does it take to see results?
Some changes happen quickly. The most meaningful ones last.
The focus is on building habits, strength, and confidence that compound over time — rather than chasing short-lived transformations.
Is this right for me?
If you’re looking for a quick fix, probably not.
If you value experienced guidance, clear structure, and a sustainable approach that adapts to real life, then this is likely a good fit.
